A Healing Touch Poster Child

Hi Everybody!
This past week a friend contracted pneumonia! She had been stressed out over many family issues for many months. She thinks that she may have caught the virus when visiting the hospital with her dad. "Diane" and I had made plans to have a dinner gathering for several friends on Friday evening at my home. Well, she was ill all week and on an antibiotics. Apparently the drug didn't work well and she had another appointment with her doctor on Thursday. . .the day before the dinner party. They gave her a new antibiotic to try. So on Friday morning she took one pill. At 3:00 I called to see how she was doing and ask if she'd like healing touch. I told her that it might help her turn the corner on the virus. Diane told me that she was too sick to come out of her house. . .that she was under the covers and just wanted to rest. So I told her that I'd do long distance healing touch and all she had to do was rest where she was and receive it. This was OK with her.

So I went to the room in my home where I do healing touch and imagine her lying on the healing touch table (like a massage table). I provided several techniques and the session lasted about 30-40 minutes.

What to do about the dinner party? I decided to have it anyway because I had all the food prepared and didn't want to cancel. If she and her husband came over that would be great. If not, there would just be 4 of us.

At about 5:00 Diane called me to ask if I had done the healing touch session for her. I said, "yes, I did." "Well, I feel incredible! I am so much better!" She had even taken her son out for some dinner and was returning home to get ready to come over for our dinner. Diane came over a bit later and looked fantastic! She said, "yes, I'm the Healing Touch poster child." She was even carrying some wine over to partake in! The evening turned out to be so much fun! We had a wonderful dinner and sat around the fire telling stories.

Giving and Getting healing Touch

"When you give Healing Touch, you get Healing Touch," as the wise saying goes. Last Monday night I provided Healing Touch to two different individuals. I felt wonderful afterwards and slept really well. The next day my husband and I were to begin a 21 day dietary cleanse that was recommended to us by our doctors. They said that with all of the toxins in the environment as well as the preservatives in food we eat it is wise to do a cleanse once a year. Since I had never done a cleanse like this in my 50+ years on the planet I decided that it would be a good idea. Besides, I was having symptoms of bloating after eating, weight gain and general malaise. The office dietition gave a lecture on the types of foods one could eat for the 1st seven days: sauteed or roasted veggies, a protein shake twice a day, fruit, fruit juice, rice, beans and lentils. Additionally, supplements needed to be taken that included fiber. The dietition warned everyone in the audience that we might expect some unpleasant symptoms during the first 4-5 days such as headaches, aches or pains in the body, sweating, and low energy among others. So although I knew that this cleanse was good for my health I truly was not looking forward to it. Thank goodness, my husband also went on the cleanse diet as well. Making the shakes and eating the recommended food was much better with a buddy.

Anyway, how did Healing Touch factor into this cleanse? Well, on Day 1 I felt fine. I had loads of energy and no aches or pains. I attributed that to the Healing Touch I gave the night before. My husband on the other hand, broke out in a cold sweat and had a big headache. On Wednesday( Day 2), I have to admit that I didn't feel well. I had shoulder pain which then developed into a headache. I received Healing Touch from my friends and rested. Thursday (Day 3)I felt great. . . so much so that I took an hour yoga class and then later took my bike out for a nice 12 mile spin. Gregg, my husband, still did not feel well. He finally agreed to allow me to provide Healing Touch for him. Today is Friday (Day 4) and I have to say I feel great! And I've lost 2 pounds! Woopie. Gregg says he's feeling better than he had but still doesn't have his normal amount of energy. Sooooo this weekend I'll be giving him more healing touch which, by the way, works over time. The cumulative effect of Healing Touch over a period of several days is strong. I will get back to all of you after the weekend to let you know how we're doing on this interesting cleansing journey.

Hospice experiences

The other day at Hospice I met a wonderful woman. "Anne" was surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter and a family pet: a cute white poodle. When Dan and I entered the room we introduced ourselves and told her about Healing Touch and asked if she would like us to provide her with Healing Touch. She agreed and said, "yes, I need healing." She was very sweet holding on to my hand and relaxing almost immediately. Dan held her other hand and we stayed like that with "Hands Still" for about 10 minutes. She began to fall asleep. Her daughter turned the television volume down and the energy in the room became very still and almost sacred. I could feel the energy coming from the heavens, moving through me to her. Then, a nurse came in to check a port in her upper chest. She left the room and came back with another nurse who injected the port with some kind of medication. . .I am not sure what it was but as soon as that happened the energy shifted. I did not feel the movement of energy and had to use my mind and my intention to remain grounded. I began to feel woozy, lightheaded and began to sweat. This has happened before when I entered the energy field of a person receiving strong medicine. The more experienced practitioners than I told me to ground myself into the earth's energy and mentally pull down the energy from God. I did this but hadn't been prepared for the shift in energy after the patient had received her meds. Dan also noticed the energy block and was able to get it flowing again. I on the other hand had to leave the room. The dizziness was too much and I didn't want to faint. So I left and got something to drink and some fresh air. As Dan and I discussed the shifts that had occurred we reinforced the idea that one always has to reground them selves before going into each room. As he said, "you never know what God is going to throw at you." I couldn't agree more!
