Healing Touch in the hospital

I volunteered at the hospital yesterday. Sometimes I force myself to go because of any number of reasons. But being received so wonderfully by a patient there just made my day. I had met a woman in the Endoscopy department last week while she was waiting for a procedure. Her doctor was behind schedule and she was a bit nervous. I asked if she wanted to receive Healing Touch and after I explained what it was, she gratefully accepted. When I had completed several techniques such as the Magnetic Clearing and Chakra Connection, she began to tell me about her life, her family and friends. It was wonderful making that connection with her. She had experienced many events in her life: challenging and joyful. It was great to be there to listen and affirm her feelings. I let go of my agenda and just listened as it seemed to be what she needed. We had made a connection and that is one of the best things that can happen. It's a privilege to hear a slice of life as another person tells it and to know you are helping her process emotions. Before I left her I asked if she'd like Healing Touch after her surgery which was on January 20th. She said that she would.

I called her before I went over to the hospital as I wanted to be certain that she remembered me and still desired Healing Touch. She seemed hesitant to ask me to come over but I assured her that I had the time. When I arrived she was sitting up in her chair and had just finished lunch. The floor was very quiet. We chatted for awhile and then I assessed her energy field. She and I talked about her symptoms after surgery. I taylored my approach to those symptoms using Healing Touch techniques learned over the years. When I was done she looked up at me and said, "This is sacred work."
